On Wednesday, September 10, 2014, the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, in partnership with The Lugar Center, hosted a roundtable discussion with Karel De Gucht, EU Commissioner for Trade. Participants discussed multiple points of view about the impact of current events around the world on global trade patterns and relationships, as well as energy and financial markets. Attendees engaged in a dialogue with Commissioner De Gucht about related policy issues, including trans-Atlantic trade, the vision for the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), and the role of energy. The discussion was moderated by Jason Bordoff, Professor of Professional Practice in International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and Founding Director of the Center on Global Energy Policy.

This project is funded in part by the European Union.
